| Job Description: | The Danubius Hotel Regents Park, a four star property with 366 rooms, 11 conference rooms, ideally located for business and leisure guests is currently looking for a full-time permanent Night Porter to work 5 nights out of 7 on the rota schedule.
Duties will include welcoming all guests, assist with their luggage and other items to and from rooms, to handle group luggage for early group departures, deliver messages, parcels, mail, and laundry; take car keys of guest on arrival and give them out, ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with Danubius standards, treating our guests comfort, satisfaction and impression they received of the hotel as first priority. Further tasks would be to conduct regular floor checks are carried out, reporting back all findings to the Night Manager, patrolling of the car park, notify the Night Manager of all you movements whilst on duty, and to refer all guest request to them, transport staff to and from the hotel as required and
be familiar with hotel services and facilities, up selling wherever possible and give advice and guidance on the local area.
The ideal candidate will have very strong customer service skills preferably gained in a similar environment, team working skills, will be able to work independent, have a “Can do” attitude, good knowledge of London, some IT knowledge and a full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities will include to ensure there is the correct amount of clean linen on assigned floors, to keep all assigned areas clear of dirty linen and rubbish, to clean and maintain corridors, staircases, fire staircases, public areas, lift lobbies wall lights in corridors, pictures. Further to take over House Porter duties in their absence.
The ideal candidate will have very strong team working skills, will be able to work independent, have a “Can do” attitude and is able to communicate in English and willing to learn as training leading to NVQ level two could be offered to the successful candidates.

Duties will involve to run the operational side of both the Bar/Lounge and Room Service during shifts, to ensure correct billing of customers
You will be involved in setting up promotions, targets & incentives, assist in the cellar stock control and supervise staff on duty. Further your responsibilities will include to carry out team briefings prior to the beginning of the shift, prepare the bar ready for service, ensure the smooth running of the shift to the satisfaction of the guests and staff, ensure the correct billing and banking procedures are followed
You will ensure that the Company standard on dress code, personal appearance and hygiene is adhered to at all times, be fully aware of all hotel facilities and of the current menus, be responsible for any cash shortages in the banking during the shift, ensure float is correct at start and end of the shift and control the Food and Beverage stock and keep wastage to a minimum.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory role within an hotel environment, with excellent communication skills and a “Can do” attitude. You will know how to use Micros and have good drinks and food knowledge. Preferably you will have a valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and some Cocktail knowledge.
